Faith & Works - the dividing Christian argument
I think that all Christians believe that you are saved by God's Grace, but does it end there? Well let's look at the Bible... Epistle of St Paul to the Ephesians, Chapter 2 8 For by grace you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, for it is the gift of God; 9 Not of works , that no man may glory. This seems to clearly state that works are not needed, but let's read on. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus in good works, which God hath prepared that we should walk in them. Now that we read verse 10 with 8 and 9 we see that we are saved by Grace, but we need to cooperate with grace with action - our workmanship. Your faith is your work - you must be active in accepting God's Grace in order that we should walk "in them". We must walk with good works - we must do something, we cannot sit back idle.
